It is best to apply once the Student has been accepted by the College, as there are no refunds on the Last Month’s Rent Deposit. You could wait until the first week of March or when the College notifies you of Acceptance if you don’t want to risk losing your Last Month’s Rent Deposit.

AMNA is committed to fostering a Residence culture that endorses healthy, responsible and low-risk drinking practices among Students. While many Residents choose not to consume alcohol, Residents who are 19 or older may responsibly consume alcohol in the Residence as long as they do so in their own room, in accordance with the AMNA Student Living Community Standards and in accordance with the Liquor Laws of Ontario.

AMNA Student Residence is a completely smoke-free facility. We ask our Residents to respect the other Residents of the Building by smoking in designated areas only, which is outside the Residence and disposing of cigarette butts in the containers provided. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the Residence.

Yes we have laundry facilities in each location: Lindsay, Ottawa and Pembroke.
All of our laundry facilities use re-loadable laundry cards. No need for coins.

The AMNA Student Residence Lease for Pembroke & Ottawa is 12 months.If your course ends before the 12 month term, you have the option to sublet or transfer your lease.In the case of a sublet, you would remain on the lease and continue to pay rent to us. You are responsible for collecting the subtenant’s rent.

Yes, you can have a maximum of two guests at any one time. Guests are permitted to stay overnight for a maximum of two nights. If you share a Room in the Residence, your roommate’s consent is required prior to inviting anyone over for an overnight stay. The Resident must remain in the company of the Guest at all times.

You have to be a full-time Student to rent at the AMNA Student Residence. The only exception is during the Summer months, if you are a Co-op Student, on a placement assignment, then you may rent out the Room.

We have professional cleaners who clean the shared washrooms at AMNA Student Residence however it is the Student’s responsibility to clean their own dishes, pots & pans etc. in the common Kitchens on both floors and in their rooms.

There are no pets allowed in the Student Residence due to allergies and hygiene.

Yes, each room has their own microwave. In the Pembroke location, there are mini-fridges with freezers and little kitchenettes with a sink & cupboards.

In Lindsay and Ottawa Residences, they have full Kitchens in the Apartments.
In Pembroke, there are two full Kitchens; one on each floor and you are welcome to use either one. Cookware is not provided therefore Students must bring their own pots, pans, cutlery etc.

Safety and security of our Students is extremely important. Each Residence has a secure locked front entrance and all of them are also monitored by security cameras.

You are responsible for the full term of the Lease Agreement which is 12 months (for Pembroke & Ottawa). You can choose to sublet your Room or have a Lease Transfer. Sublet and Lease Transfers may have financial implications and the new Resident must be approved by AMNA.

Some College Programs require you to be in attendance a few days earlier than September 1st. In this case, if the room is available, we would be happy to accommodate you. If the current Tenant has not moved-out yet, we would look into the possibility of a temporary room but we cannot guarantee it.

Yes there is parking at Lindsay location and Pembroke location for $25 per month however, there is no parking available at our Ottawa location. The Student can obtain a City Parking Pass for Ottawa.
